Support & Business Analyst (WNCR)Software Development DepartmentSalary: £24,907 to £30,615Hours: 37.5hrs per weekTenure:PermanentCardiffOverview Our primary purpose is to create a set of information and infrastructure services that enable the provision of integrated, person-based information that can be used to join up and improve patient care across the business and social care in Wales. We are responsible for the design, deployment and management of national Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) systems and provide a range of services to the Welsh Government and Organisations. The organisation is also responsible for setting the standard for health informatics professional development. We wish to recruit a Support Analyst to join our Software Applications teams supporting major National software applications in Wales. You will be working on our Welsh Nursing Care Record (WNCR) application which is currently being implemented across Wales. As a Support Analyst you will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians. You will be expected to: *Provide operational/technical support of the service *Provide guidance and technical advice to colleagues *Monitor system health daily and resolve underlying issues *Provide information analysis and reporting Experience of working within a software service delivery and 2nd line support environment is essential for this post and experience/knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous: *Development and execution of database queries e.g. T-SQL *Practical experience in monitoring a database particularly with SQL Server *Working with Windows Server and IIS manager *Good knowledge in ITIL Service Delivery and Service Support *Problem solving skills *Customer and supplier liaison We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can quickly learn our systems and respond to a variety of support requirements.
