Support & Business AnalystCardiffSalary: £24,907 to £30,615PermanentAs a Support & Business Analyst you will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians. You will be expected to provide: *Operational Support, working with both technical and non-technical staff to investigate and resolve problems. *Provide specialist advice and guidance to end users and stakeholders . *Monitor system health, diagnostics, alerting / event management and other suitable mechanisms to reduce incidents over time i.e. proactive support. *Work with end users / clinical staff / stakeholders to undertake business analysis and document functional specifications for enhancing services. *Undertake application maintenance and deployments. Experience of working within a software service delivery and 2nd line support environment is essential for this post as is experience/knowledge in the following areas: *Knowledge in ITIL Service Transition and Service Operation *Development and execution of database queries e.g. SQL Server, Firebird RDBMS *Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure *Knowledge of an experience in applying business analysis techniques *Secondary Care background This is an excellent opportunity for those with operational IT skills wishing to work at a National level. We are looking for driven, motivated individuals who can quickly learn our systems and respond to a variety of support requirements. There may also a requirement to join an on-call rota once adequate training has been completed.
