Job Description

We are looking for a Application Developer (Oracle APEX) for a exciting new project based in Cardiff.Client DetailsPageGroup has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Applications Developer to join our clients welcoming team. This full-time applications development role is based on site in Cardiff and offers a favourable salary of up to £50,000 and excellent benefits.As a skilled Applications Developer, you will positively influence the IT team and the broader business. You will provide technical and functional support and development for Oracle APEX, Oracle EBS and VB.NET. Please note that this position offers workinghours from 07:45-16:30 Monday-Thursday, and 07:45-13:30 on Fridays.In your first few weeks in this Applications Developer role, you can expect to:

  • Develop and support Oracle APEX applications
  • Enhance Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • Develop and support VB.NET applications
  • Solve issues at technical and functional levels
  • Research, develop and test functionality and processes for the business
To apply for this applications development job, you will need a degree-level qualification in a computing subject and 5+ years of experience as a lead developer. You will also require the following:DescriptionThe scope of the Applications Developer role is to fulfil the following functions in a functional and technical capacity:
  • Develop and support Oracle APEX applications;
  • Enhance and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2;
  • Develop and support VB.NET applications.
  • As an Applications Developer your role is to positively influence the IT team and the wide business.
  • Providing technical and functional support and development for Oracle APEX, Oracle EBS and VB.NET.
  • Develop Oracle APEX and VB.NET applications that can integrate with Oracle EBS or stand alone
  • Solve issues at both a technical and functional level on Oracle EBS, Oracle APEX and VB.NET
  • Develop and enhance Oracle EBS
  • Requirements gathering, analysis, and design
  • Successfully take a project from its initial discussions through to implementation and post go live support
  • Resolve issues surrounding interfaces between Oracle EBS modules
  • Investigate and resolve complicated issues or functional behaviour
  • Support business operations and processes
  • Research, develop and test functionality and processes for the business
  • Raise and progress Oracle Service Requests
ProfileThe successful candidate will have the following skills:
  • Excellent programming skills and the ability to develop complicated programs and applications
  • Experience in Oracle APEX, JavaScript, JSON, CSS3 and HTML5
  • Oracle Database expertise, preferably 11gR2 or higher
  • Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL
  • Excellent communication skills
