Analyst Specialist/EpidemiologistCommunicable Disease Surveillance Centre (CDSC) provides field epidemiology support to the Health Protection Division of Public Health Wales. It assists the Division in protecting the population of Wales from infectious diseases and environmental hazards through public health surveillance, epidemiological support for field investigation, and applied research.An exciting opportunity has arisen within CDSC for a number of posts including Band 5 Information Analysts and Band 6 Analyst Specialist/Epidemiologists. These posts have been created to address increasing epidemiology and surveillance service demands.The post holders will provide epidemiology support to the development and maintenance of public health surveillance schemes run by the Health Protection Division. They will also support the epidemiological investigation of communicable disease outbreaks and contribute to the Division’s research programme. Please refer to the job description for the role that you are applying for.Applicants must have a good honours degree in a scientific or numerate subject or equivalent relevant experience, which would vary depending on the grade of the post (see relevant job descriptions).
