The Cardiac Physiology Department is a new, vibrant and busy unit providing tertiary services to South Wales. This post provides an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and experienced highly specialised cardiac physiologist to join a motivated, cohesive, friendly, supportive and progressive services at a leading tertiary centre, to support the delivery of high-quality patient care and service development.A BSc in Cardiac Physiology is essential and one of the following advanced level qualifications: IBHRE or BHRS or currently working towards.In addition the successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and work well within a team. There is a strong emphasis on professional development, with opportunities to gain high level experience within the Cardiac Device (PPM/ICD/CRT), Ambulatory, Echo and Electrophysiology services. The position will be rotational.As part of our commitment to extended roles we currently run physiologist led clinics including The Palpitations Clinic, Valve Screening Clinic, the implantation of Injectable loop recorders and Cardiac Device follow-up clinics.The successful applicant will be expected to work across both University Hospital of Wales / University Hospital Llandough sites and fully participate in the on call service.We are searching for a Advanced Cardiac Physiologist that shares our Health Board values.Cardiff is a lively city with a cosmopolitan lifestyle and a rich diversity of leisure and cultural activities.
