Job Description

Our client, a successful and established business based in east Cardiff has a vacancy for a motivated Accounts Administrator. The is a newly created role due to business growth, working in a small team and reporting into a supportive and diligent AccountsManager. The company is part of a wider group of businesses and therefore offers the opportunity to develop skills and gain exposure to other opportunities in the future.This is an ideal role for someone with administrative skills who is keen to develop a career in accounts and work in a busy and challenging roleThe JobWill primarily be responsible for accurate and timely management of sales and purchase ledgers for related businesses. You will also assist with other related duties in this and other businesses in the group.Sales Ledger

  • Generating Invoices
  • Collection of Direct Debits
  • Inputting payments to ledger
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints
  • Credit control/Liaising with customers
  • Issuing refund cheques
  • Daily banking
  • End of month routine, ensuring all prints are presented on time.
Purchase Ledger
  • Matching purchase orders and delivery notes to purchase invoice and gaining authorisation of invoices
  • Inputting invoice details onto computer system
  • Preparing payments from supplier balance prints
  • Inputting payments to ledger
  • Issue of cheque payments
  • Reconciling statements
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • End of month routine, ensuring all prints are presented on time.
General
  • Collection of cash from on-site areas
  • Petty cash control
  • Daily banking
  • General administration & liaising with customers
  • All other associated accounts administration.
The person
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Previous administrative experience would be helpful.
  • Possess good levels of accuracy, attention to detail, numeracy and literacy.
  • Possess good communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues and external suppliers
  • Have proven ability in working to deadlines and following set processes
  • Positive team working skills and a flexible approach
  • Microsoft skills in particular Excel.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary is up to £22,000 per annum
  • AAT study support will be considered
  • Holidays are 22 days plus bank holidays
