Job Description

Accountant - Cardiff£26,000 - £30,000 + Study Support + Benefits An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen just on the outskirts of Central Cardiff for a hard working and ambitious Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller and working for this highly prestigious organisation, you will support the FC with theday to day accounting activities of the business.My client is ideally seeking an experienced AAT Qualified Accountant that is looking to progress in the long-term with their professional ACCA/CIMA qualifications. Study support will be provided; however, this will be in your own time. This is an excellentopportunity for someone who is bright, ambitious and enthusiastic to broaden their skills within a rapidly expanding business.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and review of the management accounts across a group of companies
  • Assist with the YE audit and prep of statutory accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • PAYE Reconciliations
  • VAT Reconciliations
  • Weekly supplier payment runs
  • Payroll journals and payroll accrual calculations
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Purchase ledger month end close
  • Overhead costs
  • Sage experience highly desirable
  • Intermediate Excel skills
This role would suit an individual who can be proactive in approach, works well on their own initiative and has a can do attitude to getting things done. The ability to understand complex financial information and explain this to non-finance colleaguesis also key for the post. This is a diverse and varied role, so you will need to be a dynamic and driven individual.This organisation offers a friendly working environment and the opportunity for a hands-on role.
