Job Description

A global manufacturer selling into the chemical, nuclear and pharmaceutical industries across the UK, Ireland, and East Asia requires a driven and entrepreneurial Account Manager to take on a challenging role in maintaining and growing an established territoryacross the South West of the UK.BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000BENEFITS: 22 days holiday + bank holidays bonus scheme Healthcare cash plan PensionLOCATION: South WestCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Bristol, Cardiff, Newport, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon, Bath, Portsmouth, Salisbury, YeovilKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Manager - Pumps / IndustrialWe are currently looking to add to our growing team and this role will include 70% Account Management and 30% New Business Development.As our Account Manager you will be responsible for: Managing a portfolio of existing accounts, establishing excellent communication with clients, and developing new sales opportunities across the South West Negotiating and closing new business opportunities Maintaining and updating Management Information Systems accurately Following up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the companys products or services Occasionally representing the company at exhibitions, and industry eventsPERSON SPECIFICATION: Account Manager - Pumps / IndustrialTo be our successful Account Manager, you will have a proven track record of Technical Account Management and you will ideally have a technical background and/or understand fluid handling systems. Any experience of working with or selling into the chemical,pharmaceutical, and nuclear industries will be beneficial.You will be: Experienced in selling a technical product or solution into an industrial market (e.g. Pumps , chemical processing, nuclear, pharmaceutical or similar Confident with technical or engineering terminology Used to managing you own diary, time, and territory effectively A team player who offers a positive, and supportive contribution to our company Competent with IT systems including the full suite of Microsoft Office Personable and an enthusiastic team playerTHE COMPANY:We have been a leading independent chemical pump manufacturer for not only the chemical industry, but also nuclear and pharmaceutical industries. We have manufacturing chemical process pumps for over sixty years and opened our doors in the UK over twenty yearsago. Our central manufacturing facility based in Italy means we are ideally situated to support our customers across the UK, Ireland and East Asia and our team work closely with our customers to ensure their requirements are accurately met.It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets and worked with the following products and/or services: Sales Executive, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Executive, Field Sales Executive,Field Sales Manager, Area Sales Executive, Technical Sales Executive, Internal sales Engineer, Technical Customer Service.
