Job Description

2 x FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER (Ref: LHJ2) (Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9)Location: Castleton, CardiffHours per Week: 32 hours (inclusive of 1 overnight shift)Working pattern: School term time Monday to Friday:

  • Morning shift - 06:45 until 08:45
  • Afternoon shift - 15:00 until 20:30
  • Night shift - 20:30 until 08:30
Saturday and Sunday:
  • Day shift - 10:00 - 20:30 (Inc. 30 min unpaid break)
Non term time (school holidays) Monday to Sunday:
  • Day shift - 10:00 until 20:30 (Inc. 30 min unpaid break)
  • Night shift - 20:30 until 08:30
Pay: £14.00 per hour (Bank Holidays - £28 per hour)Closing date: 6th December 2023(Please note - we reserve the right to close the advert earlier if we receive a high volume of suitable applicants)Our client is a 17-year-old young lady with Cerebral Palsy who requires support to live independently within her own home. She attends school Monday - Friday during term time and engages in a multi-disciplinary approach in active brain rehabilitation. Akey part of this role will be to follow care plans and programmes set by external professionals in the client’s best interest.You will be warm, patient, and reliable, have excellent communication skills and maintain a consistent and proactive approach, whilst being flexible, reliable and enthusiastic, and will encourage and support our client to access all possible opportunitiesavailable to her.A full induction and training will be provided.This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.Essential InformationTo join me as a Female Support Worker you must: -
  • Able to drive.
  • Willingness to drive the family vehicle.
  • Ideally have a good understanding of the needs of a client with Cerebral Palsy.
