Job Description

Hours per week: 16 hoursWorking Pattern:

  • Varied - Flexibility is essential
  • Term times: either 7.00am - 9.30am or 2.30pm - 8.30pm
  • Occasional sleeping/waking nights
  • School Holidays: 2 Full days
Pay:
  • Weekday (7am to 11pm) = £15.00
  • Weekends/Bank Holidays (7am to 11pm) = £15.00
  • Waking nights (11pm to 7pm) = £15.00
  • Sleep shifts (11pm to 7pm) = £9.50
Closing date: 28th October 2022(Please note - we reserve the right to close the advert earlier if we receive a high volume of suitable applicants)Ability to drive with use of a car is essentialI am looking for two enthusiastic, resilient, patient and reliable Child Therapy Assistants/Support Workers to help me to engage in the activities I love, and to help me become more independent. You will need to be calm and patient under pressure and beable to apply a consistent approach.I am now 15 but sustained a brain injury as a baby. As a result of my injuries I have complex needs, including behavioural, cognitive and physical. I struggle with regulating my emotions which can lead to physical outbursts.I can be funny and cheeky and am very caring towards my baby brother. I need to be active and busy, and you will need to love walking, I like listening to audio books and colouring. I find it difficult to form new relationships and need you to take the timeto understand my needs. I need a little help with personal care but in the main I would like support after school so I can enjoy social and leisure activities, engage in therapy and further develop life skills for the future.You will have experience of working with children or adults with complex needs and challenging beaviours. This role would be an excellent opportunity for a therapy student or psychology graduate who will enjoy being part of a multidisciplinary team, supportingwith my therapy programme and assisting with my behaviour & care management plans.A full induction and training will be provided.This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
