Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding Mortgage Broker. In this Trainee Mortgage Adviser role, you will be working with experienced Mortgage Consultants and you will gain the knowledge, skills and experience for a successful career in financial services.You will have the opportunity to learn about the full mortgage process, regulatory and compliance requirements, ethics and work towards becoming a fully qualified Mortgage & Protection Advisor.Job Description Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Preparing and maintaining the client files including the Fact Find Documents
  • Carrying out a full review of the Client’s finances, needs and circumstances
  • Undertaking research to find a suitable product for the Client and discuss with the Advisor
  • Submitting the mortgage application to the Lenders
  • Chasing mortgage lenders/solicitors/providers via telephone and email.
  • Advising and selling insurance such as Personal and General Insurance
  • Using your own initiative to enable cases to progress smoothly and meet deadlines
  • Maintaining our high standard of customer service and following strict procedures
  • Skills Required
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Excel
  • Able to use own initiative and a can-do’ positive attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Educated to Degree level / equivalent qualification or experienced in a similar field
