Driver, full UK driving licence, is desired not essential.What do our Support Workers do Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more.Ashford Lodge support adults aged 18+ with autism spectrum conditions, moderate and severe learning disabilities and complex needs including behaviours that may challenge.At Ashford Lodge people are supported to take part in a range of leisure activities in order to build on their social and communication skills. They regularly participate in dance courses, swimming, bowling, cinema and visit the local trampoline park, nature parks and zoos. Ashford Lodge has a large garden with its very own vegetable patch, where people are supported to grow herbs and vegetables which they then use for cooking.What experience do you need You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.
