AJ Chambers are hiring for an exciting opportunity that has arisen to join a leading top 30 accountancy practice firm with a dynamic team as a Audit Senior based in Sittingbourne.DescriptionResponsible for the delivery of a high quality service to clients. The role of the senior is produce accurate client work and to help junior team members.This means producing accurate files, working to deadlines and supporting others where needed.Responsibilities• Being main point of contact for the client during the audit assignment on a portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit organisations• Planning the Assignment, including the preparation/updating of the permanent file and briefing the team.• Reviewing and preparing the audit assignment papers and budgets.• Prepare the audit planning memorandum and agree with Audit Manager, Audit Director and client.• Ensuring that jobs are completed on time and within budget.• Reviewing the audit programmes, including developing and completing more complex audit tests.• Controlling the assignments and ensuring that each section of the assignment is completed within the agreed budget. Reporting to the appropriate manager or director at once if circumstances arise that may mean the agreed budget will be exceeded.• Presenting the Audit Manager with a complete assignment file with minimal review points.• Reviewing detailed costing of time budget.• Drafting management letter and letter of representations.• Any other task as reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the job and the department.• Being responsible for junior members of the team throughout the audit assignments.• Assisting in the development of junior staff members through the provision of in-house training as well as providing feedback to managers.• There will be opportunities to get involved with business development and play a key role in the growth of the corporate and Not for Profit team.• There will be the opportunity to take on a line managerial role for junior team members as you progressRequirements•Ideally ACCA/ACA qualified or work towards qualification•Highly IT literate with an advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
