Job Description

My client is seeking to appoint a new Finance Manager / Finance Business partner to join the team. This is a commercial role focused on the management accounts for a sizeable business, providing key support to the Operational leads and Finance DirectorClient DetailsMy client is a large business based in an easily accessible area outside of Canterbury. The company are a key player in their sector and have expanded across a long period of time. They have excellent benefits, and this is an excellent opportunity to jointhe team.DescriptionAs the Finance Manager / Finance business partner you will enjoy a commercially focused and broad ranging role.Duties will include:

  • Being the primary support for relevant Commercial and Operational teams,
  • Producing monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
  • Leading on the annual budget and monthly forecast processes for your division, advising on tactical and strategic assumptions with all relevant managers
  • Proactively identifying and improving finance and business processes to ensure fast, accurate management information is available.
  • Maintaining and improving financial control, including maintaining a clean balance sheet.
  • Business partnering with operational and commercial departments of the business to assist in delivering business goals
  • Analysing business performance against Budget, Forecast and Prior Year on a timely basis
  • Providing insight and challenge to managers to drive improved business results.
ProfileThe ideal candidate for this Finance MAnager / Finance Business partner role will:Be formally qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)Have excellent written and verbal communication skillsBe an analytical and commercially minded accountant, able to challenge senior leaders as appropriateHave strong management accounting skillsIdeally have prior experience of business partneringBe an advanced user of Excel and other ERP business systemsBe adaptable to changing circumstances; continually seeks ways to innovate and improve.Job OfferBase salary of up to £65,000 +
