Job Description

Nursery Manager | PolkaDots Nursery - Term Time only opportunity PolkaDots is an independent nursery with two settings in northwest London (NW5). Providing a safe and caring environment for all our children in a setting thats friendly and fun, our motto is to Educate, Nurture and Inspire children to learn through play.Whatever their individual needs, we ensure every child at PolkaDots has full access to the EYFS curriculum and beyond - with Music and Makaton sessions as well as Dance and Yoga classes with professional instructors. Were looking for a Manager to join ourcommunity at our Athlone Hall Nursery. You will be managing our Staff team of 6 members and 25 place nursery. Our nursery is open during term-time (38 weeks per year) to children aged 2 to 5 years-old. We operate school hours for our children and our Manager can expect to be on site 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am - 2pm on Friday.We want to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Manager who will be able to deliver excellent standards of care and education for our children. Our new Manager will motivate and lead by example to inspire their team of leaders and practitionersto maintain the nurserys high professional standards and continue developing professionally. The successful candidate will love working with children while also having an excellent understanding of child development. Our new manager will also be able to uphold and develop PolkaDots excellent relationships and ties with our community. As a small nursery, relationships are key to who we are. Our staff team is our greatest strength and most valuable asset. Because we recognisethis, we continually invest in them and offer training and other opportunities to develop professionally. This includes Makaton training from a Regional Makaton tutor, professional development led by Camdens Education and Wellbeing teams and continuous internaltraining, for example in areas such as safeguarding and technology use.
