Job Description

This role brings the opportunity to work with our dynamic and tenacious team as we continue to push our business forward. In the role of Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing a productive and accurate shift, through coaching and motivating the Warehouse team, and meeting all SLAs and KPIs to deliver premium service levels for the business and our customersAll applicants must:

  • Have extensive experience in a fast moving, deadline driven environment
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, and react to changing priorities
  • Be fully IT literate, including all MS Office programs
  • Have experience of being the most senior employee on site
  • Have multi year experience in Supply Chain / Distribution / Operations / Logistics
  • Live in a commutable distance to Cambridge
  • You will be responsible for:
  • Delivering a high standard of Health & Safety across the warehouse operation
  • To deliver and achieve all KPIs & SLAs, including cost savings, productivity efficiencies and Operational set up
  • Overseeing the delivering / collecting vehicles and driver management
  • The management, training & development of all team members to high standards
  • Key Holder responsibilities/security call outs if required
  • Liaising internally with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best performance and service to our customers
  • Keeping and maintaining records of team performance against plans & targets
  • Monitoring all site equipment and facilities, to ensure the warehouse operation and overall site runs smoothly
  • Ensuring the security & integrity of the stock & site at all times
  • The Ideal Candidate will also:
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of WMS, and the ability to analyse the output and improve operational efficiencies
  • Be a great communicator, with the ability to develop relationships, both internally and externally
  • Be able to balance operational and admin tasks effectively
  • Be People focussed and committed to staff recruitment & development
  • Display a large amount of flexibility, especially during peak periods
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Have the ability to thrive in a fast-changing work environment
  • Have experience of MHE operation, namely Pivot Steer and PPT type trucks
  • Deliver excellent operational performance every day
  • Be familiar with pick & despatch operations across both B2C and B2B formats
  • Be experienced with adding temporary staff members to the team for peak periods, delivering training & monitoring performance
  • Have experience of working with brands & customers, and offering service to match
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of all relevant equipment and processes such as MHE, racking, manual handling, loading/ unloading, pallet types, etc
