Job Description

Warehouse Operative - Leading UK FMCG Business - Monday to Friday role (8am-4pm)Client DetailsPage Personnel Logistics have partnered with a rapidly growing global FMCG business in their search for a permanent Warehouse Operative in their site in Cambridge. This role will play a critical part in this organisation continuously expanding operationwith a lot of scope to develop and progress further internally.They are an exciting, innovative, and unique company who offer a vast array of services. This role will give the successful candidate a chance to truly flourish with a challenging, demanding but rewarding growth period ahead.DescriptionAs a Warehouse operative you will help the operation team to deliver operational performance measures, whilst reporting into the Warehouse Team Leader.

  • Ensure that day to day work is carried out in a safe manner and all near misses, incidents and accidents are reported / investigated. Fully contribute to the Site Behavioural Safety Programme by coaching peers to be safe and act as a role model at all times.
  • Deliver the dispatch plan as set out by the t coordinators and ensure that OTIF (On time in full) targets are met.
  • Offload and put away raw materials in a timely manner to maximise efficiency and minimise damage.
  • Pick and deliver raw materials and packaging to assist in meeting schedule adherence targets and ensure that quality standards are maintained.
  • Collect and put away finished product to maintain an efficient flow of material.
  • Contribute towards improving our pick and put away strategy in order to reduce the times for both.
  • Lead by example to sustain a World Class approach to 5S and warehouse organisation.
  • Contribute to the warehouse department cost saving programme by identifying cost saving opportunities and other areas for improvement.
  • Carry out required cycle-counts for the department to meet it targets on pick-accuracy and minimise the risk of an issue in Production
ProfileThe successful Warehouse operative will be commutable to Cambridge and embody the following experience / skills:
  • at least 2 years experience in a warehouse role within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background ideally within pharmaceutical, chemical or food sector
  • Strong background of knowledge in warehousing and logistics
  • Numeracy and Literacy with GCSE equivalent in Maths and English
  • IT literate and confident user of any WMS, experience in SAP is highly advantageous
  • Ideally a holder of FLT licences such as counterbalance and reach truck however training can be provided too
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and can adapt well to changes
  • Ability to work Monday- Friday weekly (8am - 4pm), overtime is also available
