Job Description

Were working with a Bar Hill based organisation seeking a warehouse manager for an interim 6 month period. The role would be well suited for somebody seeking an interim position due to being out of work, or coming to the end of a contract. An immediatestart is preferred, but 1 weeks notice could be accommodated. Candidates seeking something on a reduced hours/PT basis could also be considered providing it was no less than 3 or 4 days per week.The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse operation including stock management, health and safety and managing our team. You will also be responsible for overseeing logistical projects and inter-departmental communication.Warehouse:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the warehouse operation from stock accuracy, sending shipments and taking in deliveries.
  • Maintaining stock and location accuracy
  • Manage & schedule deliveries (pallets and container)
  • Respond & resolve any query sent to the warehouse via email or phone
  • Liaise and support the pick and pack team to ensure locations are replenished on time and location accuracy is correct.
  • Co-ordinate stock takes
  • Conduct investigative processes and where appropriate take relevant action with regards to providing improvement to operational deficiencies and implementation of change
  • Setting daily/weekly tasks to ensure continuous productivity
  • Monitoring sickness and lateness to minimise down time
  • Plan and co-ordinate the training through your team to maintain a multi-skilled workforce.
  • Conduct relevant performance management processes including the company disciplinary procedure
  • Overseeing all aspects of health & safety within the warehouse
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Training staff
  • Conducting visual inspections
  • Ensure machinery and equipment is maintained
Logistics
  • Overseeing all re-work/Value added service projects across all regions
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organisation
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organisational processes and procedures to enhance all cross departmental handoff processes
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
  • Continual maintaining of the company owned 3PL.
