Job Description

Technical Support Analyst Cambridge AreaSalary: up to £35,000 + benefits Our client is a leading Cambridgeshire based business looking to recruit a Technical Support AnalystThe purpose of the role is to provide user facing and remote support to circa 350 employees in a support line capacity.You will play a key role in the maintenance, ongoing support and enhancement of the organisations IT systems.Role currently remote with hybrid model moving forwardsDuties:

  • Support some or all of the following: Desktops, Laptops, Mobile phones, Label printers, Scanners, MFDs, Peripherals, Networks, WiFi, User support
  • Install Laptops, Mobile Devices, Desktops, Monitors, Printers etc
  • Provide excellent customer support
  • Support the Infrastructure and Networking environments, Virtualised platforms and SAN
  • Responsible for Infrastructure Projects, including rollouts of new software
  • Building new Virtualised and storage platforms
  • Windows Server administration, desktop management and configuration
  • Microsoft IIS web services administration and configuration
  • The role will be split between support responsibilities of typical end-user IT Support issues, largely with a desktop focus, and also project work across server and networking infrastructure.
  • IT Security management and configuration
  • Skills / experience:
  • Experience within similar Support Analyst role across 2nd and 3rd line support
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a Service Desk environment
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant technologies: Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 10, Internet Information Services Administration, Exchange administration, Managing Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Hypervisor Technology (VMWare & Hyper V) preferred but not essential
  • Ideally experience implementing / supporting O365 / SharePoint
  • Networking - Firewall rules, LAN, WAN and VLAN configuration & troubleshooting.
  • Storage Technologies - NAS Systems - connectivity and administration
  • Internet connectivity (ADSL, Fibre, Leased Line & MPLS)
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • IT security - endpoint and network solutions
