Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - £45k-£55k - Cambridgeshire - Bespoke MachineryPlatform Recruitment has partnered with bespoke machinery and instrument manufacturer. They’re looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join an expanding design team with a view to take over the design office in time. Youll need to be capable ofdelivering highly robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading mechanical development on new product development projects.Main Duties:+ Project leadership+ 3D CAD design+ Design and develop new machinery+ Prototype and test designs+ Translate customer requirements to specifications+ Test feasibility of customer requirements+ Produce BOM’sSkills & Experience Required+ Proven track record in managing your own projects+ Experienced in the full product lifecycle+ Strong 3D CAD skills+ Produce manufacturing drawings+ Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniques+ Hands on and practicalThe salary will be between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
