Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a specialist design team for one of the largest nationwide manufacturers in the UK as a Roof Truss DesignerClient DetailsMichael Page have partnered with a nationwide manufacturing and production leader of a full range of timber and building products. Based out of their comfortable and easily accessible offices in Cambridgeshire they now have a vacancy in their engineering team.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Roof Truss Designer include:

  • Using the relevant design software, convert customer requirements and specifications into commercial solutions and designs
  • Interpreting architectural drawings and posing follow-up questions where necessary
  • Providing effective commercial solutions to customers including quotations and detailed designs
  • Building relationships with existing and new customers
  • Effectively dealing with customer enquiries within agreed service levels

  • Applicants must have prior experience of working as a Roof Truss Designer before
  • Have a sound level of Timber Engineering knowledge
  • Have strong 2D CAD software skills
  • Previous 3D CAD experience would be highly beneficial
