We are currently looking for a Research Scientist/ Senior Research Scientist to join a rapidly expanding biotherapeutics company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Research Scientist/ Senior Research Scientist you will be responsible for undertakinglaboratory work to help drive the companys technology platform development and project execution.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Research Scientist/ Senior Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will implement high quality laboratory-based activities, as directed by the Research Director; such as the testing of gene therapy candidates using cell-based assays, western blotting and qPCR.2. As the Research Scientist you will work in a highly collaborative environment to generate robust data sets that are disseminated to team members. 3. You will also be responsible for facilitating the smooth running and management of the laboratory through preparing reagents and materials, managing lab supplies and orders and ensuring that H&S documents and SOPs are in place.ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Scientist/ Senior Research Scientist - Mat Leave we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. PhD in a Life Sciences related discipline plus significant hands on laboratory experience.2.
