Job Description

Recruitment Consultant (30 hours a week) Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08487Location: St IvesSalary: £23K pro rata Pension, Monthly Paid BonusesPermanent - 30 hours a weekRecruitment Consultant As we are a small independent agency based in St Ives Town Centre dealing with clients based in Huntingdonshire and Peterborough.The role is office based (not remote working) 30 hours a week, 5 days a week - Monday to Friday, hours to be agreed.This role is about managing the recruitment process for the Temporary Desk from dealing with clients over the telephone, email or Video link to discuss the brief and sourcing the right candidate from our database, Job Board or social media. Very much anestablished desk so working with a warm client base delivering a quick response to their needs - 50% client account handling and 50% dealing with local people looking for temporary employment.There is no cold calling, after 25 years in business we have an established existing clientele, you would simply be waking those up when not filling bookings.Whilst full training will be on offer.Meyer-Scott is a flexible company who look after their staff very well, a place where the Directors believe in giving the Consultants the tools to do the job.You will need to be adaptable due to the nature of the industry, hence we have a semi-structured way of working where tried and tested processes are in place but forever evolving to make the best of an ever-changing market.Duties:

  • Qualifying potential candidates for job roles.
  • Composing full and concise job descriptions for the admin team to market.
  • Search & Selection of potential candidates via online job boards and our CRM system.
  • Sourcing new candidates and evaluating their suitability for the role, both over the telephone, email and video link.
  • Attending key client account review meetings.
  • Updating database/spreadsheets
  • On-site visits with client businesses.
  • Briefing suitable candidates and forwarding details to client.
  • Preparing CVs when Administrator unable to assist.
  • Where necessary support Administrator in placing opportunities on the websites etc.
  • Filtering all interview feedback to both clients and candidates
  • Negotiating start dates and salaries when applicable.
  • Regular visiting of existing clients where permitted.
  • Following Meyer-Scott Recruitment policies and procedures. Knowledge of social media sites would be advantageous.
What we require from you: Must be computer literate with regards to an intermediate knowledge of Google, MS Office and working with CRM systems which is key to our business.Please note we only recruit candidates for our business who come with a steady work history.Likely Background:Account ManagementHRRecruitment BackgroundPlanner type role where co-ordination is keyBasic Salary: £23,000 p.a.
