Job Description

Quality Manager - Life ScienceLocation: South CambridgeshireSalary: £50k-£70k + excellent benefits!A position has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to join a rapidly expanding technology development company - specifically to work within the Life Science division. You will be responsible for managing the existing quality management systems, developingand evolving them as appropriate as the scope of the work grows. This will involve controlling and monitoring product quality, tracking any issues and driving continuous improvement in the R&D and manufacturing activities.You will use your client facing skills, to manage both in-person and virtual customer audits, as well as taking responsibility for supplier quality audits and helping suppliers close gaps whilst developing their capabilities.Working in this consultancy, you will also contribute to project work when required; perhaps through auditing our development projects, coordinating FMEA activities, manufacturing process development, verification testing, logistics, planning or design-for-manufactureand assembly (DfMA) activities.Quality Manager Requirements:

  • A bachelors or masters degree in life sciences or possibly Electronics, Mechanical or Software Engineering
  • At least 5 years experience as a Quality Manager operating within an ISO9001/13485 manufacturing environment
  • Extensive recent experience contributing to the development, maintenance and operation of a QMS within the life sciences, pharma or medical technology sector.
  • Experience of managing customer and supplier quality audits
  • Clear and concise written communication skills
  • A rigorous approach to work with a strong eye for detail
  • The ability to influence, train and mentor colleagues to ensure a Quality culture
