Job Description

Manpower Recruitment is currently looking for Production Technicians. The client, baed in Waterbeach. is an innovative producer of high purity chemicals, solvents, acids and reagents for both scientific and industrial applications. From ISO 9001, ISO 17025,ISO 17034 and ISO 14001 registered facility in Waterbeach, high purity materials for both the analytical and life sciences, are manufactured and developedWe are seeking an adaptable Production Technician to work on a number of our product ranges. This will be a varied role where you will be supporting a number of senior staff in manufacturing and testing a range or products and assisting in developing newtechniques and products. You will be reporting to the plant supervisor and working closely with production teams. Your role will involve liasing with warehouse, despatch and sales office, staff managers and directors when required.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and maintain adequate stock levels of specified product lines
  • Assist with the development of new analytical techniques and methods
  • Fully record and account all work as required
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently
  • Accuracy of data entry and calculations
  • Follow all relevant Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and codes of practice
Ideal Candidate
  • Knowledge of Chemistry (A-Level/NVQ equivalent) with strong numerical skills is desirable
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment/production laboratory is desirable (training provided)
  • Comfortable lifting and moving containers weighing up to 20 kg
  • Keen eye for detail
