Process Technician - Cambridgeshire - Scientific TechnologyWe are on the lookout for an experienced Process Technician to join a cutting-edge technology provider. Joining the Production team within the business this is a new role created due to expansion.Core to the role is establishing optimisation of all production and process equipment. This will be done by utilising your expertise and designing and executing to test your theories.The lab/production area is laden with exciting machinery and tools so they will be plenty of opportunity to get your hands onto various kits and really see what you and it can achieve.Working in a highly collaborative team and company culture, theyll be plenty of information and knowledge shared to help you and the business progress.Core Duties:-* Operate and optimise process equipment* Design experiments to aid optimisation of production equipment* Collect and analyse process data to aid optimisation of production equipment* Design, build & operate mechanical and electrical test systems* Rigorously test electronic devices* Plan, analyse and control the quality of the production process* Monitor all processes to prevent correct equipment malfunction* Through a hands-on experimental approach, trouble shoot problems and issues, develop and progress solutions* Succinctly report findings and provide recommendations for next stepsThe Right Person;-You be passionate, driven and keen to be in an environment of like minded souls.Electronics knowledge and enthusiasm for this is a must have, any experience of semiconductors will be highly prized. The experience is likely from an R&D environment With the following skills and experience: -* Excellent understanding of electronics* Strong background in electronic devices* Tenacious in approach to problem solving* Hands on approach to tasks* Diligent and methodical approach to work* Understanding of quantitative performance analysisAdvantageous skills and experience: -* Knowledge of FMEA (6Sigma, 8D and route cause analysis)* An interest in 2D materials* CAD* Understanding of H&S regulations and ISO 9001 certification
