Job Description

Industry: Electronics, Electro- Mechanical, Manufacturing, ProductionKey skills: Inspection of PCBs, Manual and Automated, Auto Optical Inspection (AOI) and traditional magnification techniques, Box builds, Cable harnesses, IPCAre you available for an immediate start Are you an experienced PCB Inspector If the answer is yes, please read on!We have a requirement for a PCB Inspector at an electrical manufacturing company, based in Cambourne, Cambridge.PCB Inspector Requirements:Previous experience of PCB inspection including assembling and soldering on surface mount and through hole boards and componentsPrevious experience of hand soldering PCB components Excellent PCB component knowledge including identifying component values and polarisationExcellent understanding of PCB circuit diagrams and schematicsAny AOI experience would be beneficial but is not essential for the rolePCB Inspector Responsibilities:Automated PCB assembly and rework, including fine pitch devices and components as small as 0102 and BGAsInspection of PCB boardsThe Inspector must be very aware of anti-static procedures - the production area has anti-static flooring throughout, with staff wearing anti-static protective clothing, heel-grounders and anti-static wrist bands, which are checked each morning prior to staff commencing their dutiesFamiliar with IPC StandardsThe Inspector will also be checking cable harnesses and therefore will be familiar with wire sizes, crimp terminals etcIf this role sounds like something you would be interested in, click on Apply now Required skills
