Job Description

Advancing People have the pleasure of assisting our client in Great Gransden in the recruitment of their new Operations Manager. The right candidate will have production, warehouse and distribution experience at management level. This role is too ensure the site Production and Operation operates in a safe, efficient manner and that the site complies with all current legislation and management procedures. You will have overall responsible for Production team (Production / Warehouse/ Cleaning) Office supply chain team (Customer care / QHSE).Key Responsibilities To develop and implement an operational production plan in line with commercial targets and production expectation. To regularly produce production forecasts in line with customer demands and work closely with the Commercial team to ensure appropriate capacity and stockholding is available to give excellent customer service. Maintain overall stock levels optimally and ensure good stock turn of material. Maintaining regular and productive contact with suppliers. Ensuring raw material requirements are supplied in line with production needs. Develop good working relationships and build awareness with the site personnel. Identify areas to improve / empower or replace personal to improve output, culture and results. To review, negotiate, and implement a logistics policy in line with company policy. To produce when necessary reports on key KPI and circulate to all relevant persons. To control site expenses in line with budgets. To seek and continuously improve operations across all supply chain. Ensure all product adhere to necessary quality standard. Ensuring all company policies, procedures, documentation, hygiene & training records etc. are maintained to the highest standards to meet the requirements of our BRC accreditation. Reviewing & engaging site maintenance and servicing contractors to ensure we are operating in line with HSE expectations in all parts of our business and maintaining production & ancillary equipment in good order to meet on going needs.About youThe candidate that we are looking for should have "can do" approach to business with good communication and presentation skills. You should be a problem solver who likes change and innovation. Your personality should be described as enterprising,enthusiastic and energetic.You will need to have or show knowledge of: Good technical knowledge of production, warehousing & distribution operations ideally within the food or chemical sectors. Effective at building working relationships with both technical and commercial contacts within the appropriate sectors. Change Management and improvement of efficiency. Experienced negotiator. Operates well as part of a multi-functional team. Proactive & determined approach to business. Good presentation skills. Member of professional/trade bodies i.e. CBA Logistics committee (desirable but not essential) Experience of being involved with BRC (desirable but not essential).We offerA challenging position within a dynamic international organisation.
