Mechanical Design Engineer - £35k-£50k - Cambridgeshire Platform Recruitment has partnered with a market specialist in the design, manufacture and distribution of specialised equipment. They’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fast-paced and dynamic Product Development team.You will need to be capable of delivering highly robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading mechanical development on new product development projects.Main Duties:+ Design and develop new products+ 3D CAD design+ Prototype and test designs+ Produce full product specifications for manufacture+ Use hand tools in the workshop+ Manage product testingSkills & Experience Required:+ Experienced in the full product lifecycle+ Strong 3D CAD skills+ Workshop skills - hand tools & bench experience+ Produce manufacturing drawings+ Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniquesThe salary will be between £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
