Job Description

Logistics Manager, Global OperationsGrowing and Innovative Business - Regulated Industries£50,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent BenefitsCambridgeshire/FlexA world renowned global manufacturer and distributor of next-generation products are looking to grow their team! They have seen significant and sustained growth over the past few years are looking to bring on a driven, dynamic and impactful logistics professionalto lead the long term logistics strategy and develop a world class 3PL distribution network as they expand globally.The business has an exceptionally strong culture, providing high performing individuals a high level of autonomy & creative license to drive significant change within their area. This is a business that fosters an open & collaborative culture providing individualswith multiple routes for progression.This role will oversee a multi-million pound budget and focus on developing effective and sustainable partnerships with the 3PL providers as well as launching into new regions worldwide. You will also drive the operational performance to ensure high qualitystandards & processes, whilst identifying opportunities to impact cost to serve through continuous improvement.Key responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the Global Logistics Strategy & Management, supporting the continued growth of the business, developing & leading the Logistics roadmap.
  • Grow, develop & mentor a small Logistics team ensuring engagement and understanding of the wider Supply Chain team
  • Effectively managing the partnerships with the 3PL warehouses & transport providers worldwide, ensuring operational effectiveness & exceptional service
  • Support/Lead on transport & warehouse tenders, transformation project whilst building a strategic partnership with world class 3PLs & reviewing total network design to ensure highly effective logistic channels.
  • Manage, improve & grow a complex distribution model and supplier network; understanding geographical needs and optimising approach
  • Detailed & exploratory analysis of growth potential, driving continuous improvement and strategic projects across end to end logistics
  • Own the multi-million pound logistics budget
Key requirements:
  • 5-8+ years working in a fast paced, complex distribution environment within regulated industries such as Pharmaceutical, medical devices, automotive, aviation, defence etc
  • Previous experience leading/supporting large strategic change i.e. Network Design, Tenders, New Region launches etc with either domestic or international markets (would be advantageous)
  • A highly analytical individual with exceptional 3PL and stakeholder management.
  • Educated to a degree level, with excellent negotiating & influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to understand complex operations and drive change
  • Enthusiasm to deliver a best in class supply chain and develop yourself & others
