Job Description

Position: Legal Counsel/Contracts SpecialistJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentLocation: Cambridgeshire (two to three days a week office based)Salary: Up to £62,000.00 per annum plus bonus and benefitsIn-House Legal Counsel/Contracts Specialist is required for a prestigious company in the renewable energy sector based in the Cambridgeshire region.The ideal candidate will be a Legal Executive (or in the process of becoming an Ilex), a qualified Solicitor or Barrister (non-qualified candidates will be considered) ideally with In-House background. You will have experience of reviewing, drafting andnegotiating contracts, as well as exposure in the dispute resolution including contract disputes.You will be able to work both independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.Candidate Profile:

  • UK qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, a minimum of 1 years experience with an In-House or Private Practice background. Non-qualified candidate will be considered
  • Experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
  • Have experience within dispute resolution including contract disputes.
  • Exposure within non-contentious construction contract would be an advantage.
  • Ideally have knowledge within Data Protection.
  • Prior experience within the Construction or Energy sector would be advantageous.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise work, manage projects, and use own initiative.
Salary and Benefits:Salary up to £62,000.00 per annum, plus bonus and excellent benefits.
