MMP is seeking Hospital Engineers on behalf of one of our NHS clients based in Cambridgeshire. The positions are to start as soon as possible for a period of 6 months, subject to extension. This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours a week plus on-call duties, and is to be paid at a band 7 rate of £30.28/hr. Those with extensive experience may be considered for a Band 8+ will have an increased pay rate.The role of the Hospital Engineers are to support the Senior Engineer, in close co-operation with other senior estates engineering staff with the responsibility for successful on-going operation and maintenance of the Trusts premises and assets.The electrical engineer will manage electrical infrastructure (electrical systems, generator supplies, UPS/IPS) as well as joint responsibility within the team for the BMS (building management systems). Knowledge of other building services and healthcare estate functions (nurse call, Lamson tubes etc.) will be required.The mechanical engineer will manage HVAC, Water, Steam/pressure systems, Medical Gasses, BMS (building management systems), and an element of Energy Management.Applicants must:* Be educated to or working towards degree level in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering, OR equivalent level of knowledge and experience. * Have a post graduate certificate in related discipline or evidence of specific job related continuous professional development.* Have engineering experience in an operational maintenance environment with portfolio to demonstrate proven track record and wide range of expertise, including the efficient management of maintenance staff and activities. * Have experience of industry standard BMS systems and building controls.For more information about the position, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
