Job Description

Head of Adults Performance and Strategic DevelopmentDuration 8weeks+ £34.53 - £44.89/Hour New Shire Hall - Alconbury WealdAkton are recruiting for a Head of Adults Performance and Strategic Development to join a local authority on a contract basis.The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the DASS (Service Director Adult Social Care) and the Adult Social Care Management Team on improving performance and ensuring the implementation of changes in the way that services operate and functionwith a view to increasing impact. The post holder has a lead responsibility for ensuring that we track and understand changes in demand on Adult Social Care and development of plans about how we need to respond to that demand.Responsibilities-

  • Performance management, improvement, and assurance
  • Understanding demand on Adult Social Care and any changes that need to be made as demand changes.
  • Planning and strategy development
  • Digital lead
  • Co production and consultation
  • Public facing information and advice
  • Building and maximising links between Adults and Safeguarding and the VCS, Communities Directorate and Public Health
  • Oversight of key change and transformation programme leading into business planning
  • Taking a lead on specific pieces of change management/ resolving operational issues as requested
Qualifications Required-Degree level qualificationManagement qualificationProfessional qualificationKnowledge-Expert knowledge of adult social care data and reportingExpert knowledge about the policy context in health and social care and public servicesExpert knowledge about the transformation agenda and opportunities in adult social careExpert knowledge about how to implement effective interventions and strategies to develop financial sustainable servicesExpert knowledge about how performance in adults social care and safeguarding is measured and can be improved and how to use and interpret dataDetailed knowledge about adults safeguarding and the legislative and regulatory framework for adults social careSkills-Complex data and trend analysisAbility and capacity to act autonomously and with authority and make appropriate decisions.Leadership of transformation programmes and change management initiativesInfluencing skills - leadership and influencing skills that do not rely on direct lines of accountability and the ability to lead others to operate in that wayFlexible strategic thinking and a solution focussed approach and the ability to lead others to operate in that wayConflict management and personal resilienceExperience-Expert of leading on performance management, and performance improvementExperience of planning and delivering complex change programmes and dealing with resistance, conflict and competing agendasEqual opportunitiesSafeguarding adults (include for roles working with children/vulnerable adults)
