Henderson Brown are currently recruiting for a FP&A Analyst to join our client who is a leading supplier of fresh fruit based in Alconbury.This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical individual with strong communication skills. The role involves working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and other senior members of the FP&A and Commercial teams to prepare, review, and distributeweekly and monthly commercial and financial reports. The focus of the role is not just on the numbers themselves, but on understanding the story behind the reporting and providing valuable insights and analysis.The main responsibilities of the FP&A Analyst include:1. Supporting the FP&A team in preparing weekly and monthly accounts: This involves assisting in the compilation and analysis of financial data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.2. Production of customer reporting: The analyst will reconcile external forecasts with internal monthly reporting, identify key performance drivers, and communicate insights to stakeholders.3. Budgeting and forecasting: The role includes supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, which requires analysing financials and business performance to make recommendations and provide forward-looking projections.4. Financial analysis and business performance: The analyst will conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations based on the findings. This will involve a focus on understanding the levers and trigger points that impact thebusiness.5. Customer costings: The analyst will assist in the preparation of costings for customers, ensuring accuracy and consistency with internal standards.6. Ad hoc tasks: The FP&A Analyst will provide support to the Commercial Finance Manager with any other tasks as needed.The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and skills:* Part Qualified CIMA: The candidate should have progress towards a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles.* Advanced MS Excel skills: Proficiency in Excel is essential for data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting purposes.* ERP system experience: Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, is desirable as the company is implementing this system.* Manufacturing and/or Produce experience: Previous experience in the manufacturing or produce industry would be beneficial in understanding the unique aspects of the business.* Ability to work to deadlines: The candidate should be able to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Strong IT ability and data modelling: Proficiency in IT skills, including data modelling, mining, and evaluation, is important.
