We are currently looking for a Scientist I & Scientist II to join an innovative biotechnology start up based in the Cambridgeshire area. Our client has an exciting technology platform used for the development of pharmaceuticals, and as the Scientist I / Scientist II you will be responsible for supporting and leading on development / formulation / characterisation projects, using analytical techniques such as HPLC and DSC.This opportunity comes with an attractive package, flexibility and share options. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Scientist I / Scientist II will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Design and carry out studies for formulation projects of biologics / support internally with these projects as needed.2. Analyse and characterise protiens using HPLC and DSC (partial analysis), doing stability testing also. 3. Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of protein formulation and analytical sciences, including stability and characterisation. 4. Ensure QC and QA standards and upheld, and SOPs are adhered to. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Scientist I & Scientist II we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in a Life Science subject, such as Biology, Biochemistry or Pharmaceuticals. A PhD is desirable but not essential.2. Proven industry experience within a pharmaceutical, CRO and research organisation, focusing on the analysis and characterisation of products, or the formualtion of protein / peptdes.3. Practical experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and the knowledge to troubleshoot issues. Experience with practical analysis using DSC is desirable.
