Job Description

As a Financial Accountant in the Cottenham office, you will be joining an expert team in providing local small to medium businesses with up to date and experienced outsourced accounting functions.Client DetailsThis Cottenham based firm, made up of 21 financial experts, provides small to medium sized businesses with partial or full service accounting functions. This helps relieve their clients of certain pressures, and so allows them to focus on the other importantsides of their business.Description

  • Aid the compliance team in dealing with small business client queries.
  • Prepare and submit financial statements, corporate tax returns, self-assessment tax returns, and p11ds.
  • Liaise with HMRC in order to clear client queries.
  • Ad hoc supporting of wider team with bookkeeping/VAT return tasks, as well as other client work.
Profile
  • ACCA / ICAEW Qualified
  • Accountancy practice experience - with knowledge/experience of year end accounts, corporation tax, and (ideally) personal tax.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and appropriately manage workload effectively.
  • Have a client oriented approach.
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
  • Up to date knowledge of current regulatory framework surrounding small and micro entities.
  • IT proficient with experience of Xero and IRIS preferable but not essential.
  • Can do attitude.
