My client are a leading designer of cutting edge scientific equipment based in the Cambridge area.Due to a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking for extra resource within their R&D team, and would like to secure the services of an experienced Electrical Design engineer on a contract until November 2021Ideally experienced in a similar or equivalent field (complex machinery), you will work closely with the Programme Manager and other designers to produce detailed and innovative concepts for the business, contributing to the development of future products as part of the process.You will need:- Good knowledge in the fields of field-bus systems (DeviceNet, Ethercat) and PLC control. - Beckhoff and Pilz- Good knowledge in the design of drive systems, pneumatic control, and automation technology.- Experience in control of electro-pneumatic/mechanical systems, low voltage circuits, 3-phase power distribution and heater control systems.- Practical knowledge of relevant legislations, directives and standards including Supply of machinery (safety) Regulations 2008, Electromagnetic compatibility Regulations 2016 and Electrical Equipment (safety) regulations 2016- Must be able to use E-Plan softwareIf you are interested in this contract, or would like to find out more, please call Kris Feaviour at Revision Recruitment Required skills
