Job Description

TEC Partners are working with a growing life science start-up that is working on creating a high-throughput cell sorting instrument. The new platform offers multiplexed high-throughput cell sorting with improved sort rates and has a huge potential in a multitudeof life science applications.The company is a spin-out of an independent science and technology group that creates breakthrough solutions in healthcare, engineering, and consumer industries. They have launched and backed a number of different science and research start-ups that focuson proprietary and novel technologies and platforms.They are currently looking for a Cytometrist to work on all aspects of the prototype instrument, including hands-on testing, performance analysis and sample preparation. The role would also include active communication with other team members and engineers,market investigation for competitor products, and working with early beta customers.This position is a great opportunity to progress your career developing novel technology, as well as to develop your technical skills in the field. Diverse environment of scientists specialising in different areas promotes collaborative work and allows youto explore your interests in different fields.The role is open to scientists of any seniority with relevant skills and experience.Requirements:

  • PhD or research experience in molecular biology, cell therapy, immunology, or related fields
  • Extensive experience in cell sorting
  • Excellent knowledge of flow cytometry (and other cell sorting) instrumentation, maintenance, performance testing, as well as multicolour flow cytometry knowledge/experience, including setting up multicolour panels
  • Sample preparation and instrument performance analysis
  • Great communication and presentation skills
