We are currently looking for a Clinical Bioinformatics Scientist to join a leading Liquid Biopsy company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Clinical Bioinformatics Scientist you will be working with a primary focus on processing and analysing next-generationsequencing data from clinical cohorts and trials. You will also be writing and modifying existing scripts to produce custom plots and reports. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Clinical Bioinformatics Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. Support the clinical team in analysing data from clinical projects. 2. Ensure samples are processed and results delivered within the target turnaround time (TAT). 3. Technical review of sequencing data. 4. Identifying and tracking of key metrics for the sequencing and analysis pipeline. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Clinical Bioinformatics Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. MSc or PhD in the field of computational biology/bioinformatics/applied statistics, or significant industry experience in a relevant field. 2. Scientific programming experience in R and/or Python. 3. Experience with or strong desire to learn next generation sequence data analysis.
