My client based in Cottenham is currently looking to recruit an experienced Class 1 Driver to join the team.IMMEDIATE START!!Hours of workMonday to Friday - 40 hours a weekRoughly 5am start timesCouple of Saturdays a month also expected to be worked Salary - £24,960 paOvertime is paid at time and 1/4 (£15.00ph)Sunday overtime is paid at £24.00phNight out rate + meal allowance is also paid if required = £24.00Role SummaryTo carry out driving activities for the business in a safe, efficient and productive manner.Primary Responsibilities: * Ensuring all driving activity is carried out in a safe, compliant and efficient manner* Taking accountability to ensure vehicle safety checks and housekeeping have been carried out before any work is undertaken* Ensuring your PPE is worn at all times* To manage and control safe deliveries and collections* To work in liaison with the Transport Manager to ensure the unloading and reloading of vehicles are carried out in a timely manner and waste movements are properly recorded* To adhere to Drivers Legal Requirements (i.e. breaks, tachographs and working time directive) * To carry out basic vehicle maintenance and report any vehicle defects to the Transport Manager with written reports completed in the system* To carry out any activities on behalf of the Company, when dealing with customers and other team members in a professional and polite manner and always representing the business positively* Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed in a timely manner* Ensuring all collection paperwork is completed in a timely manner* Always considering the safety of the public, customers, colleagues and yourself in any activity you undertake on behalf of the Company* Ensuring that all loads that are carried are identified and security checked before accepting the task* To support and help other drivers * Carrying out any other reasonable requests from the Transport Manager or other senior managers to support the business needsEssential Qualifications* Educated to GCSE level (Maths + English)* C+E Licence* ACR Licence or Certificate (desirable, not essential)If you think you have all required aspects listed above please apply online or call Rebekah on .Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
