Business Development Lead - OMICSLocation: South CambridgeshireSalary: £60k-£100k (dep on exp) + annual project share bonus + excellent benefits + potential hybrid modelA new position has arisen for an experienced Business Development professional to join a rapidly expanding technology development company - specifically to work within the OMICS division of the Life Science department. As Business Development Lead, you willtake a leading role in identifying and developing new future commercial opportunities to build a sales pipeline for the R&D team.The work is in some truly exciting and cutting-edge areas; genomics, proteomics and future omics with real world changing innovations within cell therapies, point of care diagnostics, high-throughput drug discovery, molecular detection and cancer screening.The team are creating their own novel IP and innovating across the OMICS field from spatial biology and single cell analytics to novel approaches in RNA, DNA and protein sequencing.The Business Development Lead role involves more than straight client project work and business development. This is a true consultancy position with two main focuses including the development of the internal team as well as the development of new business.As a result, you will need experience within the Omics field to drive business for the team. Using this experience, you will identify new business opportunities, growth areas, trends and potential customers.You will not only be using your commercial skills and experience, but also that of your technical prowess; understanding potential opportunities and acting as a bridge between the client and internal project leaders - capturing requirements and deliveringnew proposals.The Business Development will need the following:
