Job Description

Business Development Lead - Health TechLocation: South CambridgeshireSalary: £60k-£100k + excellent benefits!An exceptionally well-established next generation technology development company are seeking a Business Development Lead, to assist them in growing their highly innovative and world changing Health Tech divisions client base. As The Business DevelopmentLead, you will get to partner with the worlds most ambitious companies on projects that are shaping the future of global healthcare - turning ideas into novel life-changing concepts into reality!Due to the varying nature of the company and role, this role would suit an experiences sales professional with a technical background - starting your career either as an engineer, scientist or software developer; growing into Business Development. Usingthis experience, you will speak to clients technical personnel whilst using your commercial skillsets to drive purposeful working relationships with all project stakeholders.You will need to have a good understanding of the health tech market - particularly within eyecare, drug delivery or digital health. As the Business Development lead, you will be seeking out new business opportunities, discovering new markets and creativeviable solutions to solve clients needs.The Business Development Lead will need the following:

  • A passion for innovative technology in healthcare - particularly within eyecare (ophthamology), drug delivery and/or digital health.
  • Strong academic credentials in Engineering (electronic, mechanical or software) OR related scientific areas.
  • Recent and relevant experience within sales in the health care sector - thus a contact book of potential clients would be highly advantageous.
  • The ability to articulate your ability to seek out new business opportunities, discover new markets and solve technical problems meeting each clients unmet needs.
  • Preferably having some project management skills i.e. being able to know the resources required for specific development work to satisfy clients needs.
  • The ability to travel internationally - meeting clients and attend global conferences and trade shows - depending on your prospect focus, you could make 6-12 trips each year to visit prospective clients.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead proposal writing would also be helpful.
