Job Description

We are recruiting for an Automation Engineer to help this business, recognised for their leading, world class technology, to not only scale up but also be an integral part of supporting the introduction of new products to enable growth.Operating fully and semi-automated manufacturing lines, each one uses bespoke machinery involving a wide range of hardware and processes. The business is already growing and to meet this continuing demand, you will join this close knit team to improve theperformance, reliability and throughput of the existing equipment and processes.Alongside this, you will work with the team to develop and implement an equipment plan to meet future needs, support the growth of existing products as well as the introduction of new ones.You need to be able to bring a hands-on, detailed oriented approach and an inquisitive mindset to help develop a deeper understanding of existing equipment and processes, helping to troubleshoot complex technical issues, and identify and implement improvements.Moving forward, you will also be involved in the development and commissioning of new automated production equipment.This is a rarely available opportunity for someone with experience with industrial robotics and control systems within automated manufacturing.What do we need from you

  • Experience of working with bespoke machine builders
  • First hand experience of specifying, building and commissioning automated manufacturing equipment
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs and related programming languages
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience with automated systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A driven self-starter who is also able to work collaboratively
  • Experience with electrical and regulatory systems for CE marking

  • Salary £45,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience
