Job Description

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - required for your client who are a well-established Metalwork Fabricator based in the Cambridgeshire area just west of Huntingdon. The company that the Quantity Surveyor will be working formanufacture Steel Structures for the Construction Industry working on a range of retail, commercial, residential, infrastructure and utility projects. The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely alongside the Commercial Manager, submitting monthly applicationsto clients.Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Assessing applications from subcontractors
  • Preparing/ sorting tender pack information
  • Receiving and comparing quotes for future projects
  • Assessing payment notices
  • Monitor Project Costs
  • Pricing variation
  • Collating Bills of Quantities
  • Collate information for Final Accounts
  • Attend financial meetings
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
  • Degree or HNC within a Quantity Surveying or Civil / Structural Engineering Discipline
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Commercial Management works on site
  • Experience working in a commercial role
  • Understanding of steelwork preferred
  • Excellent IT skills - especially Excel and Google Sheets
  • Effective communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence and their own vehicle
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration
  • Salary Dependant on experience £22K - £40K
  • 21 days holiday + BH
