Job Description

Analytical Scientist – CMCLocation: East CambridgeshireSalary: £20,000 - £26,000, depending on experienceWe are currently recruiting for an Analytical Scientist to join our clients expanding team. This is an awesome opportunity for a Scientist at the beginning of their career, or with some industry experience, who will learn and develop their skills in chromatography and mass spectrometry.The successful applicant will be trained to carry out Extraction & Leaching studies using a broad range of mass spectrometry and separation science.Key responsibilities:-

  • Routine testing following method SOPs, data review and interpretation.
  • Instrument trouble shooting, maintenance and optimisation.
  • Data review and checking, reporting results, interaction with sponsors.
  • Performing COSHH and Risk assessments
  • Adhering to cGMP guidelines and ensuring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
  • Developing the analytical capabilities and advancing knowledge of the team
  • Education, experience and technical skills:
  • Degree in chemistry or related subject
  • Experience with mass spectrometry, chromatography and sample preparation
  • Analysis and data review experience or equivalent in a chromatographic analytical laboratory, an advantage
  • Experience working in a regulated (cGMP) analytical/clinical laboratory, an advantage.
  • Conscientious and meticulous in laboratory work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in preparing proformas and SOPs, writing protocols and reports
