Job Description

  • Full-time and permanent
  • Day shifts on a 4-week rotation &potential night shifts dependant on workload
  • North Cambridgeshire
Reed Scientific is working with a well-established contract manufacturer offering a range of specialist manufacturing and packing services. It’s an interesting and engaging workplace where no two days are the same. They’re now seeking an experienced AnalyticalChemist to join their team.Responsibilities:
  • Sampling materials and analysing samples
  • Developing, improving and validating methods of analysis
  • Preparing documentation
  • Analysing and dispatching customer sample requests within agreed timeframe
  • Keeping the laboratory clean, tidy and fully stocked
The candidate:
  • Can work on a shift basis and overtime if required
  • Strong chemistry knowledge, ideally degree level
  • Practical laboratory experience including HPLC and GC
  • Knowledge of analysis methods and validation techniques
  • Experience usingadatabase or ERP system
  • Knowledge of working in accordance with the ISO9001, GLP and GMP
  • Good knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing and fast paced environment desirable but not essential
