Job Description

Accounts Payable AssistantSalary: DPOEOutskirts of CambridgeConrad Connect are pleased to be working with a company on the outskirts of Cambridge (Addenbrookes side) who currently have an exciting opportunity for a vibrant accounts payable assistant to join their growing finance team. They are looking for a self-motivatedindividual who is ready to take on new responsibilities and work closely with the companys assistant accountant. The successful candidate will ideally be qualified or studying AAT and will have previous experience within a similar role.This role offers the opportunity for career progression within the finance team, with the offer of a full study package.Duties:

  • Process supplier purchase invoices
  • Check coding of purchase requisitions
  • Log invoices
  • Match and process invoices against purchase orders
  • Deal with any discrepancies and disputed items with internal and external contacts
  • Ensure invoices are authorised for payment
  • Communicate with suppliers by phone and by email to discuss payments, credit terms and to resolve any queries
  • BACS Payment runs in accordance with company procedures
  • Regular Review of aged creditors report
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Filing, archiving and document management
  • Credit Card statement processing and reconciliations
  • Deal with correspondence to the Finance team
  • Other ad-hoc work to support the Finance Team
