Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for an Accountant to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry working hybrid - on site in Cambridge for 2/3 days per week, then the rest from home, on a contract basis for 6 months.Daily Rate: £350.00 LTD/ Umbrella – this role is outside IR35Essential Requirements:

  • It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK
  • Qualified accountant with previous experience
  • Significant experience of financial statement preparation and consolidation
  • Experience of financial control frameworks
  • Strong Experience using SAP - reviewing data, entering corrections, strong reporting analysis
  • Experience in Data/ Analytics Inventory would be advantageous
Accountant Role:
  • Use the company’s Intercompany Profit Elimination Tool, in reporting Unrealised Profit in Stock (PURP) for month end reporting
  • Responsible for the calculation of manual adjustments for PURP and complete the key monthly reconciliation between statutory and management cost of sales (‘The Gap’), preparing monthly KPIs and driving ongoing improvement of the reconciliation
  • Review the group statutory profit schedules, including analysing underlying trends and operating and evidencing compliance with key monthly, quarterly and annual SOX controls.
  • Prepare quality financial analysis and develop recommendations to remediate reporting errors and complexities.
  • Liaise regularly with many internal stakeholders and our external auditors.
  • You will assist in the preparation of the Annual Report & 20-F; Interim Financial Statements and Press Releases
