Job Description

Job Title: 1st/2nd Line TechnicianIndustry: Agricultural and Food SectorsLocation: CambridgeSalary: £22k-£25kWe are looking for a 1st/2nd Line Technician to join our team in Cambridge. This position is within the agricultural and food sectors industry and requires a confident and experienced individual to provide technical support. The successful applicant will berequired to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, and provide customer support. Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support services to customers
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
  • Test and deploy new systems
  • Document and maintain customer records
  • Monitor and maintain system performance
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors
  • Travelling to regional sites (sometimes short notice)*
Technical Skills Required:
  • 1-2 years in IT support
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365
  • Experience with Exchange and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Knowledge of server hardware and software
  • Knowledge of Linux and Mac
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Knowledge of SQL and Database Administration
Desirable:
  • Professional computing qualification or degree in computing science or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Linux, MAC OS & IOS
  • Knowledge/Experience in mimecast - Papercut - Mitel/Micollab - Sharepoint.
