We are looking for a skilled and experienced Web Application Developer with a strong data management background. You will work within the Data & Information Systems department working on projects focused on Data modelling, platform integrations and building data flows between essential business systems. The projects you will work on will be driven by data in close collaboration with senior stakeholders and external 3rd party service providers.We are looking for candidates that are ready for a challenge, who work well in a fast-paced and rapidly growing ecommerce environment, and have experience iterating on front-end interfaces with a working knowledge of back-end data handling. Responsibilities:* Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data-driven web applications.* Work with the Data & IS team to ensure data capture, management and intelligent design is at the core of every project and that thorough documentation and coding standards are adopted in line with efficient and growth-focused processes.* Develop and leverage data products that will be used to propose innovative and profitable business initiatives to senior leadership.* Work in an Agile environment to deliver high quality products against aggressive schedules.* Drive technical projects with Senior Stakeholders and Data/Business Analysis teams which will require candidate to manage timelines and requirements.You will have:* BSc in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or relevant experience.* Proficiency in functional programming languages (e.g. Python) as well as declarative programming languages (e.g. SQL).* Comfortable writing and analysing data using SQL.* Strong experience working with Python, using up to version 3.5 or later.* Proficiency in modern web development including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular JS, React, Backbone.js etc).* Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance.* Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services as well as other integration technologies is strongly desired.* Ability to implement features and user interfaces of internal client tools.* Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe product features, technical designs, and product strategy.* The often-remote nature of the work requires excellent communication skills to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to the right stakeholders.* A strong track record of iterative design, working closely with business, product, and tech partners from inception through implementation.* Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.* An interest in Machine Learning/ Data Science/ AI.Desirable but not essential:* An understanding of NetSuite, SAP or other business administration platforms.* Experience or knowledge of eCommerce platforms, Amazon, eBay and other marketplace channels is strongly desired.* Relevant work experience in BI, Analytics, or Data Science fields or comparable fields is strongly desired.* Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.* Experience with data visualization software like Power BI or Tableau.* Experience in SuiteScript 2.0, SuiteFlow, jQuery or a strong desire and ability to learn and develop skills in other programming languages or disciplines.
